Cooma Athletics holds weekly events throughout the athletics season where our athletes have an opportunity to compete in a variety of different events.
Little Athletics (U6 to U12) and Junior Athletics (U13 to U17) Local Competitons
Saturdays October to December 2025 @ Snowy Oval. 8:45am
Saturdays February to March 2026 @ Snowy Oval. 8:45am
Senior Athletics (U18, U20, Opens and Masters) Local Competitions
Seniors competition & training on Thursday evenings @ Snowy Oval. 6:30pm to 7:30pm. U12 to U17 age groups can also participate in these Thursday evening competitions.
ACT Capital Athletics Competitions
Being affiliated with Capital Athletics, our athletes with Full Membership registrations are also welcome to compete in a number of cross club meets also throughout the season.
This season, our club athletes have the opportunity to participate in the following events held in Canberra. Please note that FULL Cooma club uniform MUST be worn when competing at these competitions.
ACT Competitions and Championship events:
- 2025-26 Season Summer Series and Winter Series competitions (held regularly on Saturday afternoons in Canberra during Summer, and on some various Sunday afternoons during Winter). These competitions are available for all age-groups from U13 to Opens. Please view their Event Calendar for dates and programmed events lists.
- 2025 Coles ACT Relay Carnival : 23rd November 2025 @ Woden track, Canberra
- 2025 ACT Combined Events Championships : 20th – 21st December 2025 @ Woden track, Canberra
- 2025 ACT Little Athletics Teams Challenge for U6 – U8 : 1st March 2026 @ Calwell, Canberra
- 2025-26 ACT Under Age Championships for U9 – U18 : 13th – 15th February 2026 @ AIS, Canberra
- 2026 ACT Open & U20 Championships : 24th – 26th January 2026 @ AIS Canberra
- 2026: Australian Track & Field Championships (for U14+). Adelaide. Capital Athletics selects a team to represent ACT at these National Championships. Team selection is from a nomination process, a top-3 place at the State Carnival and qualifying standards are required to be considered for team selection.
- 2026: U13 & U15 Australian Little Athletics Championships – selection on the ACT team is required to participate. Selection is based on a submitted application and from individual performances at State Championships
